As a Step By Step Learning Consultant, Dr. Pamela Pulkowski is committed to universal literacy because doing so opens doors of opportunity for all children. She has more than 15 years of classroom teaching experience and another 14 years as a central office administrator. Additional work as the Pre-School Coordinator for the YMCA of Pittsburgh, an adjunct professor in the Educational Leadership program at Cabrini College, and a Distinguished Educator for the Pennsylvania Department of Education provide breadth and depth of PreK-16 instructional and leadership experience. Pamela has been involved in supporting teaching, learning, and leadership in diverse settings throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
She earned her BA in English and Education at Westminster College, Masters of Public Management from the Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University, and EdD at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Education, Department of Administration and Policy Studies. Dr. Pulkowski’s research work investigated how school leaders build capacity to sustain continuous improvements in teaching and learning.
Pamela resides in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with her husband, Hank, a watercolor artist. She enjoys world travel, is an avid gardener, and spends as much time as possible with her nuclear and extended family.
