Dustin Bush

Program Director

Education has always been a part of Dustin’s life. The son of two classroom teachers, Dustin has spent
the last 20 years supporting students, teachers and administrators.

A former Fifth Grade teacher in Dekalb County Schools, Dustin has worked for a variety of education
companies, always looking for ways to provide a larger impact on education and the lives of students.
While selling and managing sales teams at both NWEA and CompassLearning, Dustin realized and
prioritized the importance of professional learning in the implementation of technology delivered

A strong belief that the teacher, not resources or curriculum, have the greatest impact on students, has
drawn Dustin to Step by Step Learning. He believes there are no “silver bullets” in education, but
instead effective teaching strategies and practices that change students’ lives.
As Sales Director at Step by Step Learning, Dustin works to help educators analyze current teaching
practice and results and then collaboratively develops plans to assist districts and LEAs in driving greater
student results.

He has a BS in Elementary Education and Public Relations from West Virginia Wesleyan College and a
Masters of Theological Studies degree from Emory University.

Dustin, his wife and 3 children live in Zelienople, PA. When he is not working with educators, Dustin
enjoys supporting his children in their athletic endeavors. In his free time, he enjoys working out and
playing music.
