Life

Outside of work, Sam spends time with his family, studies Taekwondo, and is an avid reader of research and commentary on national and global issues. Continuing his long history of volunteering in his community, Sam was a guest facilitator for Lehigh University’s inaugural class at LeaderShape, a national diversity and inclusion initiative, and currently spends time with the Lehigh Mentor Collective where he helps guide graduate students to degree completion.

Sam believes in the power of education and his passion for learning has earned him six college and university degrees. His most recent studies include a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Comparative and International Education from Lehigh University. Two of his most memorable experiences while studying include traveling to Santa Maria, El Salvador to conduct an evaluation of a volunteer service trip for a rural health clinic, and studying international education policy in Tübingen, Germany. Sam truly enjoys expanding the knowledge of others and helping people find ways to accomplish things that they may not have thought possible. Everybody deserves those victories.
